Elemis or Clinique?

Cleansing balms have overtaken the   skincare world, and it is now the only way to take your make up off.

But which product is really going to transform your skin?

I remember the first time I tried the Elemis Pro-collagen Cleansing Balm.

My twin sister was bangin’ on about it, and was adamant I had to try it.

I was a loyal, Simple wipe kinda gal…

Having to stand up over the sink and use water to take my make off, when I can just sit on the bed and whack a wipe over my face?

No thanks.

However one Sunday night when I had some extra time on my hands, I gave in and gave it a go.

Into the Spa…

The smell of the Elemis Cleansing Balm is nothing less than dreamy.

You feel a sense of luxury as you massage this product into your skin.

And you can feel the oils and nutrients just blending into your skin.

Your Make Up Melts Off…

Once massaged into your skin, add a splash of warm water and lather it up.

Then you can see your make up just melting away…

Even Waterproof Mascara

I normally close my eyes and just massage everywhere, rinse with water, and dry with a towel.

By the time I look back in the mirror, my skin is spotless without a panda eye in sight.

Your Skin Left Feeling Like Silk

Once you’ve washed it off, your skin is so clean and fresh.

Your skin is soft to touch.

And filled with that pro-collagen nutrients.

There’s a reason one of these babies sells every 10 seconds…

Can Anything Top Elemis?

After years of a committed Elemis life, (and folking out a small fortune for it), I thought there must be other cleansing balms out there.

I was hooked on the cleansing balm life, but wanted to explore other options.

And bonus if they happen to be cheaper…

The Second Best Selling Cleansing Balm…

I did my research, and all of the reviews for this Clinique Balm were 4.5 out of 5 of more.

In fact, I couldn’t find a single bad review…

And for half the price of Elemis, I thought this is a no brainer.

I had to give it a go.

It’s Not a Spa Experience

So initially you’re not completely transformed into a 5* spa getaway when you open the lid.

In fact it is completely odourless.

And I did miss the dreamy smell from Elemis.

It Does Take Off Your Make Up

It feels less ‘oily’ than Elemis.

Which I’m assuming is the lack of skin lovin’ ingredients.

At the end of the day though, (or the cleanse), Clinique does lather up just as well.

It does melt your make up off just as good.

And after drying, my skin is just as clean as the Elemis.
