Haus Labs vs Estée Lauder

the best full coverage foundation…

I can remember using Estée Lauder Double Wear all throughout my cabin crew years.

It was the foundation to use if you were an air hostess.

And even after a 13 hour flight to Bangkok, that foundation would not have moved.

However with more full coverage foundations on the market now, how does the brand new Haus Labs foundation compare?

I try them both to find out…

Estée Lauder Double Wear

Advertising up to 24 hours full coverage and even comes with an SPF, there’s a reason this foundation has been a best seller for so long.

I dug it out my drawer to see if it was still as good as I remembered…

Using the one and only Hourglass Foundation Brush, I’m excited to see what this looks like again.

Shade:

2N1 DESERT BEIGE.

Here are the Results…

Estée Lauder Finished Look

Once blended, I used my normal make up routine to see the finished look.

It’s a Perfect Full Coverage Foundation

It covers absolutely everything on your skin.

With a pretty flawless finish too!

The shade is a nice tanned colour, without looking too dark or orange.

And I didn’t need that much on the brush to cover my full face.

Currently Estée Lauder Double Wear is 20% on the Lookfantastic website – click here!

But how does the Haus Labs compare?

Haus Labs Foundation

This was the foundation I was the most excited to try.

I think because it’s fairly new on the scene, it’s Lady GaGa, and the bottle is quite inviting (just me?)

My one gripe is that it doesn’t have a bottle dispenser.

So you have to unscrew the lid and use the little stick thing.

It’s not the end of the world, but just a small inconvenience I thought I’d point out!

Haus Labs Finished Look
Once I had blended it in, I used my normal make up routine to really assess the finished look.

Here’s what I used to get the finished look:

♦ Rodial Banana Lowlighter (under my eyes, middle of forehead and chin)

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

Haus Labs Takes The Win

This foundation not only covers everything on your skin without fail…

But the stunning glow it also leaves is something else!

Estée Lauder doesn’t give anywhere near the dewy finish Haus Labs give.

But with no compromise on the coverage!

If you want a full coverage AND a dewy finish, this foundation is PERFECT.

Shade:

I used shade Light Medium Cool, and it gives that lovely warmth without being orange.

The Hourglass foundation brush is the only brush you need to blend in your foundation.

I don’t think I will ever use another method to apply my make up.
