battle of the sheet mask
111skin vs korean
Do you really get what you pay for?
111SKIN Rose Gold Sheet Mask
These masks are a celebrity favourite.
And if you don’t have one of these stuck to your face on a long-haul flight…
Your skin will shrivel up by the time you land.
…Or so you would think if you look on Instagram.
But at £20 a face mask (yes, really)
Are they actually worth it?
I try them and find out…
It’s a Solid Mask…
I like that the mask itself is actually rose gold colour too.
It has that luxury feel to it as you apply it to your skin.
And it does fit your face pretty spot on.
It’s also very, very wet.
Meaning there is A LOT of the good stuff on this mask.
Let’s compare my skin before and after…
The Glow Is Real
I was actually very impressed with my skin once I took the mask off.
It really has that dewy, healthy look that I’ve not experienced before.
And my make up the next day looked flawless.
I was super happy with my skin.
Is the Korean mask just as good?
The Budget Sheet Mask…
I searched high and low on Amazon for a Korean sheet mask with the best reviews.
This ikzee mask had the best ones, and was £8 for a pack of 8.
£1 a mask!
A LOT cheaper than 111skin.
Do you get what you pay for?
You Do Get What You Pay For…
The Korean mask was significantly more flimsy than 111SKIN.
The nose piece wasn’t as good.
And even though I was super careful, the mask ripped in a few places.
The 111SKIN was also big enough to cover my jawline and the start of my neck.
Whereas the Korean barely reached the bottom of my face.
(Maybe I just have a big face?)
Let’s see what my skin looked like after…
A Small Price for a Small Glow
I didn’t not have a glow.
But it wasn’t a lavish, dewy, smack you in the face glow like 111SKIN.
And I definitely didn’t notice a difference the next day.
For a cosy night in, I’m sure these masks still give your skin some moisturise.
For an occassion, you’re going to want to invest in the 111SKIN Face Mask.
Optional for a long haul flight…
